General Use Ingredients Warnings
  • General

Chia seeds for preparing a simple breakfast, a delicious pudding, or a tasty spread.

Chia seeds or salvia hispanica seeds (Salvia hispanica) are a "superfood" with a long tradition of use. The plant originates from Mexico, where it was already cultivated by the Aztecs. They were an important part of their daily diet and served as an excellent source of energy.

Due to their properties and neutral taste, the popularity of chia seeds is growing. When soaked in liquid (such as water, milk), they swell and act as a thickener. They are an excellent choice for preparing a simple breakfast, as they are also very filling.

You can use versatile BIO Chia seeds from the FutuNatura brand:

    • directly in salads, fruit,
    • mixed in yogurt, cereal, smoothies, juice,
    • for spreads and salad dressings,
    • for making desserts and baking (for example, as a substitute for butter or eggs),
    • for homemade chia flour (ground chia seeds).

BIO chia seeds are an excellent source of protein and omega-3 fats.
