Lucuma, also known by its Latin name Pouteria lucuma, is a yellow-orange fruit originating from the Andean region of South America, mainly from Peru, Chile, and Ecuador. It is characterized by a unique texture and distinct taste reminiscent of a combination of caramel, vanilla, and pumpkin puree. Due to its unique flavour, lucuma is often used as a sweetener in many dishes, desserts, and drinks.

Recommended use: Mix 2-3 teaspoons (10-15 g) of lucuma powder in water or juice and drink.

You can use it as a substitute for regular sugar - to sweeten coffee, tea, smoothies or other drinks. You can also use it in baking desserts, as an addition to yogurt, with cereal, or anywhere else you would normally use regular sugar.
