Amla (Emblica officinalis), also known as Indian gooseberry, is a small, round fruit of light green color with a tradition of several thousand years, originating from India and Southeast Asia. It grows on a tree that reaches a height of 1 to 8 meters, and is recognizable by its sour and slightly bitter taste.
In Ayurveda or Indian tradition, amla has a long history of use due to its numerous benefits. It is considered one of the most valued fruits for maintaining balance in the body. In Indian tradition, amla is referred to as the symbolic term "nectar of life," reflecting its cultural and traditional significance. In some regions, it is even considered a symbol of longevity and vitality.
It is also called amalaki - this represents one of the three ingredients of the traditional Ayurvedic mixture called Triphala, used for cleansing the body. Triphala means "three fruits," and besides amla, it also includes haritaki (Terminalia chebula) and bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica).
Due to its nutritional properties, amla is also found in cosmetic products for hair and skin. This Ayurvedic plant has also found its place in Indian cuisine, where it is used to prepare various sauces and jams.
Because the unique taste of amla bothers many people, a powdered dietary supplement is the right answer. It combines tradition with everyday habits and offers the possibility of incorporating ancient wisdom into a modern lifestyle.
Using Indian gooseberry powder is easy and suitable for everyday use. You can simply mix the powder into your morning drink, such as tea, fresh juice, water, or a smoothie. You can also add it to yogurt or sprinkle it on cereal.
It can even be used in cosmetics, as you can prepare a hair mask with it - you just need to mix amla powder with some warm water and then apply it to wet hair and scalp.
The product is a dietary supplement.
Recommended daily dose: 1-3 g (1/2-1 teaspoon). Mix in water, tea, juice, or smoothie and drink, preferably with a meal. You can also mix it in yogurt or cereal.
