Magnesium Chloride Powder – A Versatile Compound Rich in Magnesium and Chlorine

Magnesium chloride hexahydrate is a compound with the chemical formula MgCl₂ + 6H₂O, containing 6 water molecules, and is most commonly used in powder form.

It is one of the forms of magnesium – a mineral that, among other things, is classified as an electrolyte and plays a vital role in numerous biological processes in the body. It is particularly popular among physically active individuals, especially during recovery.

While many opt for dietary supplements to boost magnesium intake, absorption through the skin is becoming increasingly popular. This method bypasses the digestive system, which can cause issues for some, and allows magnesium to reach muscles more quickly.

Use It for a Relaxing Bath or to Make Magnesium Oil

This form of magnesium offers versatile use, and can be used as/for:

• A relaxing and soothing bath – facilitates magnesium absorption through the skin, perfect for unwinding after a long day or intense exercise.
• A foot bath – especially beneficial for those with standing jobs, as feet are an excellent absorption point for magnesium.
• Preparing magnesium oil – mix with distilled or demineralised water to create a solution that can be sprayed onto the skin over muscles.

Usage:

• For preparing magnesium oil: Mix magnesium chloride powder with distilled or demineralised water in a 3:2 ratio (3 parts magnesium chloride to 2 parts water). Apply 10–15 sprays daily to the skin over muscles or under the armpit.
• For a magnesium bath (full body or feet): Dissolve magnesium chloride powder in warm water (50–200 g per 10 litres of water). Soak for at least 20 minutes.
