Gamma-aminobutyric acid, or simply GABA, is an amino acid naturally produced in the human brain. 

Chemically, it belongs to the non-proteinogenic amino acids. In the human body, it functions as the most important inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, which means it inhibits the transmission of potential along neurons.

With an increase in its concentration in the brain, activities slow down. With age and exposure to physical and mental factors, its concentration in the body decreases. 

The optimal dose - 500 mg of GABA per capsule.
