Chlorophyll is the well-known pigment that gives plants and algae their distinctive green colour. It enables plants to absorb light energy, or sunlight, and convert it into chemical energy through photosynthesis, with oxygen produced as a by-product.

The best dietary sources of chlorophyll are algae (spirulina, chlorella) and dark green vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, kale, etc.

The drink contains chlorophyll in the form of chlorophyllin – a water-soluble form that enables better absorption and bioavailability than chlorophyll. Regular chlorophyll is only soluble in fat. As this is sodium copper chlorophyllin, its molecules can bind oxygen, which increases its effectiveness in the human body.

The recommended daily dose (15 ml) contains 45 mg of sodium copper chlorophyllin.
