Zinc – an essential mineral involved in more than 300 enzymatic processes in the body.

The essential mineral zinc is one of the most important micronutrients the body needs for the normal functioning of numerous biological processes. It is involved in more than 300 processes and plays a role in protein synthesis, nutrient metabolism, cell division and numerous other metabolic processes.

Zinc is naturally present in many foods, with the highest levels found in foods of animal origin, such as red meat, poultry, fish, seafood and dairy products. Therefore, an adequate intake of zinc is particularly important for people with a limited intake of animal-based foods or an unbalanced diet.

A full 15 mg of zinc per daily dose – 1 capsule.

What does zinc do in our bodies? Zinc has a role in / contributes to:

    • normal carbohydrate metabolism, normal acid-base metabolism,
    • normal cognitive function,
    • normal DNA synthesis and in the process of cell division,
    • normal fertility and reproduction,
    • normal metabolism of vitamin A, normal macronutrient metabolism and normal metabolism of fatty acids,
    • the maintenance of normal vision,
    • the normal function of the immune system,
    • the protection of cells from oxidative stress,
    • the maintenance of normal bones, hair, nails and skin, and
    • the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood.

Zinc in the form of malate for better absorption by the body.

Zinc malate is an organic compound in which the mineral zinc is bound to malic acid (malate) – a naturally occurring organic acid found in many types of fruit, particularly apples. Due to their chemical structure, organic forms of minerals are often well tolerated by the digestive system, making them a popular choice in dietary supplements.

The product is a dietary supplement.
