Beta-carotene is a natural pigment from the carotenoid group that gives an orange, yellow, and red colour to many plants (e.g. carrots, pumpkins, and apricots). By consuming foods rich in beta-carotene, we ensure the intake of provitamin A.

Provitamin A is an inactive form of vitamin A that is enzymatically converted in the body into its active form (in the liver and intestines). The body converts only the amount it needs into the active form, while the rest remains in its inactive form.

Vitamin A performs several important functions in the body:

• it contributes to the maintenance of normal vision - it participates in the formation of visual pigment in the retina, which is crucial for adjusting the eyes to darkness,

Each capsule of the Beta-Carotene (Provitamin A) product contains 6 mg of beta-carotene – equivalent to 1000 µg of vitamin A, which corresponds to 125% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin A.
